What You Need to Know About Your Commission
Discover the variety of commission work available at Hazel Rae Paintings. From custom portraits to personalized landscapes, explore the possibilities of bringing your ideas to life through art.
What is the process?
I am happy to meet with locals in person to discuss your projects and ideas. For out-of-town clients, I kindly request that we begin with email correspondence or a phone call to set up an appointment. This approach ensures efficient communication despite the distance. If we find that our goals are aligned and decide to proceed with the project, a deposit will be required to secure the next steps. From there, you can expect to receive a draft design, which will serve as the foundation for moving forward. I value your trust and am committed to delivering results that align with your vision.
What Material Do I Need to Provide for a Commission?
To achieve a specific vision—whether it’s a portrait or a landscape—a high-quality photo is essential. Using an iPhone or a digital camera works perfectly, as they are great for capturing fine details. A clear and detailed photo enables me to recreate your vision with greater precision and depth. Providing a sharp, well-lit image will ensure that the final piece reflects the details and quality you’re looking for.
Transparent and Flexible Pricing
I aim to keep pricing transparent and straightforward for all my clients. My service is typically charged based on material costs and an hourly rate for ongoing work. The exact cost will depend on the scope, complexity, and timeline of your specific requirements. If needed, I am happy to provide a detailed quote or discuss customised pricing options to suit your project. Rest assured, my goal is to deliver quality work that aligns with your budget and expectations.
How does payment work?
I require a 20% deposit before I begin work. This deposit ensures that we are both fully committed to the success of the project from the start. Payment can be completed either in instalments or as a full upfront payment, depending on what works best for you.
