Get to Know Me Better
I am a figurative oil painter based in Christchurch, New Zealand. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Hons) degree at the University of Canterbury with First-Class Honours in 2024 and am now at the beginning of my art career.
I enjoy painting in a whimsical and quirky style. My most recent work addresses the perceived duality of human versus nature, and integrates figures with plants into a hybrid being. Within this I address gender stereotypes within surrealism by subverting the stereotype of women and flowers with people and lichen.
